SFI Discover Science and Maths Award 2019

We are delighted to announce that our school has achieved a SFI Discover Science and Maths Award for the 2018/2019 academic year. Our Log of Evidence was evaluated and we met all the criteria for the Plaque of STEM.

Our school has provided evidence of children's engagement with STEM in the following areas:

  • Science
  • Technology
  • Engineering
  • Maths
  • STEM Showcase

Well done to all the children and staff, as it was their hard work in STEM subjects that achieved this award, yet again! We eagerly await the arrival of our plaque.

Engineer's Week 2019

Sincere thanks and grateful appreciation goes to Cian Burke from Ward & Burke Construction Ltd. and to Geoff Roche from Boston Scientific who recently visited our school for Engineer’s Week 2019. Both contributors briefed class members on their role as engineers. We learned about mechanical, electronic, civil and biomedical engineering.
