ReelLIFE SCIENCE Video Competition 2015

This year 5th and 6th class decided to take on the theme of 'Space'. Both classes were split into mixed level groups to focus on different features relating to space. These fascinating features included the planets, the sun and stars. Each group spent weeks researching their assigned feature and ultimately compiled a project to visually represent their learning. They also had to construct a brief oral presentation, which was filmed against a green screen (see pictures below). After the filming stage had been completed, Owen and Jacob in 6th class then used Movavi software (the trial version) to overlay a suitable background to give the impression that we filmed our presentation in Space! We then linked all the presentations together, added music and credits and our short piece was finally complete! We had a  lot of fun undertaking this project and learned a lot about space, as well as the filming process.

You can view our short piece at the following link, we hope you enjoy it!-  https://youtu.be/3-OJxNYr6AQ

We used the clapper board to keep track of our takes for later editing.

We filmed our presentations in front of the 'Green Screen', which we later replaced with a space background.
